In Loving Memory of Unise Ibarra Gonzalez “Missy”                   ****Obituario en Español mas abajo****

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Unise Ibarra Gonzalez better known as Missy or Unis, on August 12, 2024 at 9:12 am. Born on September 3, 1956, in Guatemala City. She was the second child of 11 siblings. Unise was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, cousin, aunt, grandmother and friend to many.

Unise had a kind heart, and a gentle spirit, but was as blunt as they come. She was always putting others first even before herself. She faced life's challenges with courage and grace, inspiring all who knew her. Her warmth, generosity, loving words of wisdom, with no sugar coating, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be forever remembered. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Augusto Ibarra, daughter, Adrianne Gonzalez, and grandparents on both sides.

She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply, including her husband, Alfredo Sharkan Gonzalez P, daughters, Cassandra Gonzalez, and Vivianni Pellecer, granddaughters, Jaslenne, Mia, Julianna, and Kamila. Mother, Melva Bran, Siblings, Carlos, Niger, Abdielina, Lourdes, Gabriel, Rosi, Jacqueline, Jerson, Claudia and Manuel. Nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and countless friends who were touched by her love and her kindness.

As the oldest sister Unise mothered all her siblings and was dedicated to her daughters, granddaughters and more often than not she could be found mothering nieces and nephews. 

Unise will be missed beyond words, but we find comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

The viewing and a memorial service to celebrate Unise’s life will be held on August 20, 2024 at LDS Welby 5th Ward, 8385 South 4800 West, West Jordan, UT 84088 starting at 10:00 am. Interment followed at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 13001 S 3600 West, Riverton, UT 84065

The family would like to give special thanks and appreciation to the staff at the IHC in Murray for all the care and support given while Unise was there.

En Memoria de Unise Ibarra González “Missy”

Es con profunda tristeza que anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestra querida Unise Ibarra González mejor conocida como Missy o Unis, el día 12 de agosto de 2024 a las 9:12 am. Unise nació el 3 de septiembre de 1956 en la Ciudad de Guatemala. Era la segunda hija de 11 hermanos. Unise era una querida hija, hermana, esposa, prima, tía, abuela y amiga de muchos.

Unise tenía un corazón bondadoso y un espíritu gentil, pero era tan directa como honesta. Ella siempre estaba anteponiendo a los demás incluso antes que a ella misma. Enfrentó los desafíos de la vida con valentía y gracia, inspirando a todos los que la conocieron. Su calidez, generosidad, amorosas palabras de sabiduría, sin pelos en la boca y su amor inquebrantable por su familia y amigos serán recordados para siempre. 

Le precedieron en la muerte su padre, Augusto Ibarra, su hija, Adrianne González, y abuelos de ambos lados.

Deja atrás una familia que la amaba profundamente, incluyendo a su esposo, Alfredo González, sus hijas, Cassandra González y Vivianni Pellecer, y sus nietas, Jaslenne, Mia, Julianna y Kamila. Madre, Melva Bran, Hermanos, Carlos, Niger, Abdielina, Lourdes, Gabriel, Rosi, Jacqueline, Jerson, Claudia y Manuel. Sobrinas, sobrinos, primos, tías, tíos e innumerables amigos que quedaron conmovidos por su amor, su amistad y su bondad.

Como hermana mayor, Unise fue madre de todos sus hermanos y se dedicó a sus hijas, nietas y, en muchas ocasiones, se le encontraba cuidando a sobrinas y sobrinos. Extrañaremos a Unise más allá de las palabras, pero nos reconforta saber que su espíritu seguirá viviendo en los corazones de aquellos que tuvieron la suerte de conocerla.

El velorio y el servicio conmemorativo para celebrar la vida de Unise se llevará a cabo el martes 20 de agosto de 2024 a las 10:00 am en el SUD Barrio Welby 5, 8385 S 4800 West, West Jordan, UT. El entierro seguirá en el Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 13001 S 3600 West, Riverton, UT 84065.

La familia desea agradecer y dar aprecio en especial al personal de IHC en Murray por toda la atención y apoyo brindados mientras Unise estuvo allí.
