Anna Jo Wilcox, beloved wife, cherished mother of three, and a friend to all who knew her, passed away on February 4th, 2024, at the age of 52. Born on June 4th, 1971, Anna's life was a testament to the power of love, compassion, and resilience.
Anna grew up in a tight-knit community where she learned the values of family, friendship, and hard work. From a young age, she showed an incredible capacity for empathy and kindness, traits that would define her throughout her life. As a child Anna was wild and adventurous, and has the scars to prove it. But she also loves like no one else, and in her own words, “she loves hard”. Anna loved to take spontaneous camping trips that surprised everyone, with her saying “pack your bags, were going”. She was the happiest being around, and taking care of her family. Her family is the most important thing to her.
Anna pursued her passions with vigor, earning accolades in her professional endeavors, yet it was her role as a wife and mother that she cherished most deeply.
On June 28, 2015, Anna married her true love, Roger Wilcox, with whom she built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and love. Together, they raised their three beautiful children, instilling in them the importance of kindness, education, and perseverance.
Anna's generosity extended beyond her family. She was a pillar in her community, volunteering her time and resources to support local charities, mentor young people, and advocate for causes close to her heart. Her ability to connect with others, to offer a listening ear or a helping hand, made a lasting impact on many lives.
Though her time with us was too short, Anna's legacy will live on through her family, the memories she created, and the positive changes she inspired in her community. She is survived by her loving husband Roger, her three devoted children Acacia, Robin, and Alex. Her parents Benny, Liz, and Linda and the supporting love of Roger’s Parents Boyd and Marie. Her four siblings, Lisa, Gary, Benny Jr. and Justin and a host of relatives and friends who will miss her deeply.
A celebration of Anna's life will be held on February 9, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Eternity Funerals, 1001 East 11th Avenue, Suite A, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103. If you’d like to send flowers, her favorites were white lilies and red roses. Please send them to the address above Attn: Wilcox Family.
As we say goodbye to Anna, we hold tight to the light she brought into this world. Her spirit, her warmth, and her love will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her. She is returning home embraced by the light and love of God. Rest in peace, Anna Jo Wilcox, until we meet again.
